Aloha Aunty,
I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how incredible my life has been since ho’i from the Retreat in September.
……….. The journey of ‘things’, next steps, parts of the journey being presented have been coming through thick and fast, and part of this is why I write.
I’m not sure if I told you that for a long time, 18 months or so, I had been getting the message that the format of my lomilomi trainings would be changing, added to, more in depth. That this would unfold and that I would know the right time.
Well, earlier this year, I got the message loud and clear that after the April workshop that it would be time to take a sabbatical, step back from teaching til the new ‘format’ was given. So I did just that – much to the shock of many people. I’m still constantly asked ‘ when are you starting teaching again?’ and my response is always ‘ I don’t know, I’m following my/their guidance’. As you can imagine that rreaalllyy challenges some people! Well most people really.
Over the last few weeks I have been typing up notes from many years - from your teachings, from the conferences etc and I know this is all part of the ‘formatting’ process.
… I took a couple of days off earlier this week and went away down the coast for some time out. During that time much information came in – one of which I’m asking for your guidance with the deepest ho’ihi and wanting to be pono. I got the message that when I start teaching again I will have a formal name for the Halau – you can imagine my western mana’o going “what!!!!???”.
………………..
I respectfully and with great humility ask if you could please advise me on this. This is a big thing for me to acknowledge and received and asked many ‘are you sure’s??!!’ over the last few days.
Anyway, as those tricky Ancestors love to do, just to make a point, yesterday I was gifted with being the Guardian of Honu shell. As soon as it was placed in my hands I burst in to tears, my heart and throat went, well, you know. She was given to me to be guardian of by the person who was told to look after her til the the right person and time came along. It was Soriel – you remember Soriel and Pia from Melbourne. The indigenous peoples who she tried to give it back to kept telling her that once it left their island it/she could not return and that she needed to keep moving. They told Soriel she would know who she needed to be with.
So, yesterday was incredibly profound for me and the culmination of an eventful few days.
This is the short version of events and I’m looking forward to being able to share in person with you, whenever that may be :)
Mahalo nui loa for your guidance and insight around this.
As always, Me Ke Aloha Pumehana
Tracey

Aloha Aunty,
Well, after stepping back from teaching last April following guidance from my na’au and the Ancestors, waiting patiently for info and guidance around the new format for the trainings, and starting to wonder if I was being a tad thick ‘cos nothing was coming through,
Finally, suddenly 10 days ago it all just came in a bang!
So after months of ahonui, here’s the latest :)
Thought I’d share it with you.
Mahalo nui as always for your part in my journey and the support you always give me in that.
The Halau name the Ancestors gave you- well, what can I say. It will be hanau on 01 Jan at sunset.
………………
I have another story about a kane honu shell that I ‘rescued’ to come to what seems to be becoming the ‘honu hale refuge’. This one gave me a clear message it’s tutu kane and needed to be with Joey. So the rollercoaster continues.!
Aloha nui, Tracey

Hi Tracey
Love the continuing story of the little turtle that change the world. As for the part of the story that I know I've done my best below.
The history of the Emerald Turtle Shell
About 36 years ago young man born in Queensland with a love for the countryside and photography went to magnetic Island to stay for a few days to capture the beauty with photography.
The day after he arrived he met an Australian First Nation's Indigenous Elder, a Medicine man. They sat and talked for what seemed to be a long time and just as this young man was beginning to say goodbye the Elder produced a complete back shell of a female Emerald Turtle.
The young man was amazed and began to listen to the Elders story of how this turtle shell had been a healing tool for a long long time and that she had offered herself to him by swimming up out of the water and onto the beach for him to and her to work together in service to heal the humans.
The Elder then asked the young man if he had troubles with his manhood, the young man unsure stated he thought he was healthy. The elder then said she says it's deep very deep and that he didn't know yet but would stop the baby's coming.
The young man was alarmed, the elder quieted him asked him to lay down and placed the shell on his groin area. The young man felt a burning sensation and a feeling of pain.
The elder said “that's what she does, dives deep, slow and deep, finds the sickness and brings to the surface for healing. You just let her do her business and she'll fix you”.
After a while the feeling began to subside, then the elder removed the shell. The young man sat up and thanked the elder, not really sure if he believed what just happened.
Then the elder sat quietly for a moment, looked up at the young man, said she has to go with you, more work to be done. The young man thanked him but refused the offer. The elder insisted and said you don't take her you don't heal. Next 10 days every night put like I did and she fix you. The young man thanked him and left, with the turtle shell and some confusion.
Upon leaving the Island the young man went to his doctor and asked to have tests to ensure all was well. The results on the tests were clear. The young man dismissed the elders claims. But the turtle shell was still with him.
Three nights later the young man rose in the middle of the night with pain in his manhood. He was so frightened, he remembered the elder's words and put the turtle shell on him and just laid there, the pain went away.
The next morning he was back at the doctors demanding further tests. The doctor attempted to talk him out of it but the young man insisted. When the tests came back the doctor was amazed. There in the very deepest part was a growth, just as small as small could be.
The doctor told the young man that they would not have normally run these tests until there was major signs of trouble and a lot of the time, by then it's to late. Both the doctor & the young man created a plan to remove the growth.
The young man whilst waiting for the operation used the turtle shell like the elder had shown him every day. When he had the operation, the surgeon was astounded at how the growth had shrunk and without and drugs. They removed it and all was well and clear.
The young man went back to return the shell and to tell the story but was told that that elder had passed what seemed to be only a day or two after the turtle shell had done her work. The young man asked what to do with the shell, he was told be the keeper of it until you know she must go on.
He did so for all most 35 years. Then only last year he felt she needed to go onto someone who would know what to do with her and how to work with and honour her.
My Part of the Story of the Emerald Turtle Shell
The young man knew that I had done a number of years of a number of study areas. He asked me if I would take the turtle shell and make sure she was honored and cared for. I said I would see her home or if I was given the understanding that I would send her on to her next healing partnership.
I have bathed and oiled her, kept her safe, sat with her, asked her if I was the one she would work with. Alas I received it very strongly that I was only the keeper and that one would show themselves when the timing was right.
I waited and it has been about 12 to 15 months, then upon great insistance of my partner and the gift of a booking for a Lomi Lomi massage I found out where she wanted to be.
I went to my massage with Tracey and it was ground shaking and earth moving, not just for me. Another great teacher of mine always says two travellers but one journey and that is what I believed happened. Tracey then said I don't usually say this but you must really come back next week for another massage, we haven't finished yet.
As I trust Tracey and her authenticity I agreed and made another appointment right then. She further said that I may have lots of dreams and visions in the next week.
Well yes I had a lot of both and I was so grateful that the universe had supplied me with a week off work, amazing how that all works hey?
The morning of the massage, I was woken very early and couldn't settle down so I sat in meditation and asked for guidance. To my surprise there she was, the emerald turtle, she said I had found her new healing partner and that I was to take her to the massage.
I assumed that this meant the person would be revealed to me in the massage (not even thinking it was Tracey). I further was shown my own native american turtle teaching staff and told to take this also. So I bundles them both up safe and headed off for what was shaping up to be another amazing adventure and massage.
Upon arriving Tracey looked at me, chuckled a little and asked what was all this. I explained I just had to bring a couple of things that are meant to be in the room and was that OK. I began opening the staff first and placing it out of the way.
Tracey was sitting on her little stool, I sat down on the chair, lifted my basket unwrapped the turtle shell and handed it to Tracey to hold whilst I going to tell her the story but as soon as I handed it to her tears fell and she began to tell me the story of her new school.
We then placed the shell under the table and began the massage. In the silence and the energy I began to hear the turtle speak, she said this is the one I can heal and teach with her, let me go. I cried a little faced down, as I could look through the hole and see her. I promised that today was the day for her to find her new home.
After the massage and I had got ready to leave. I had wrapped both the staff and placed the turtle shell into her basket, still being able to be seen but on the floor.
Tracey entered, sat again on her little stool, we talked about what she had received and then I began to speak to her of all the sacredness I had felt in the room. How I felt that I had been honoured and that I was given a message for her.
I lent over picked up the basket placed it in Tracey's lap and hands and told her that the turtle had chosen her.
Now it's your story of the Emerald Turtle Shell
Now my dearest Tracey I hand the rest of the adventure and story of you and Tutu over you for you to live and write,
In the blessedness of Spirit and love
Soriel

Aloha Aunty,
Last night 1/1/2011 at sunset halau was hanau.
Myself, Joey, Tutu ( the honu ‘shell’) and Tutu Kane ( another honu ‘shell’ that has come to me- will tell you that story in person another time too!)
Went to the beach here and did our ritual to hanau the halau.
The message I got when I was meditating at the beach was “ swim strong, swim sure”.
So, there it is, the next phase.
And the deepest of mahalo to you for your presence, guidance, encouragement in my journey…………….
……Sooo, here’s to a fresh new journey in all aspects.
Again, deepest mahalo and aloha to you,
Tracey
