Joey is a practicing artist who has found in lomilomi the fullest expression of his life›s journey – experiencing and integrating connection to the Source and a gentle means of releasing limitation and the known for a new perspective.

“ In lomilomi we treat the whole being with love, attentiveness and respect to facilitate healing on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level.

It is my intention to assist people in restoring balance and harmony within themselves so they may enjoy improved vitality, health and self-empowerment.”

Joey›s training in the ancient and sacred practice of Hawaiian lomilomi massage , firmly rooted in the Kanaka Maoli’s connection to the ‘aina , na akua and na aumakua (the land , the gods and goddesses , and the ancestors ), has been enriched by time spent with Lawrence Aki and his ‘ohana in Halawa , and by his experiences on Molokai of the power of the elements and the traditional way of living in which everything is known to be alive and connected.

Joey has trained in Melbourne with Kumu Tracey Ha’a o Laka i na pali and is passionate about continuing to learn Hawaiian healing and wisdom with its many practical applications to our lives today.

He is deeply committed to sharing the Spirit of Aloha in everything he does , believing that the most profound healing we can give ourselves and the planet is to extend the love, acceptance, compassion and patience of Aloha into our thoughts, our words, and our actions.
