Nisha Gill
It is my passion to nurture and empower others in finding their own strength, inner beauty and sense of wholeness by accessing a range of natural tools that are inherently at their disposal. Having searched for answers to my own health issues over time, I have come to know that wellness and moment-to-moment joy can only be achieved by individuals when they take full responsibility for their own lives. I believe that this occurs when people make informed choices and are open to addressing the physical, psycho-emotional and spiritual aspects of their healing, directly or indirectly. The simplicity and universal appeal of the ancient philosophy that underpins Hawaiian bodywork has been invaluable both in my own journey and my work with clients.
With the smorgasbord of complementary and mainstream therapies that we have to choose from, I have asked myself four fundamental questions in selecting practitioners to facilitate my healing at a given time. These are:
- does the practitioner demonstrate integrity and a real interest in my wellbeing?
- does the practitioner empower me in taking responsibility for my life?
- does the practitioner’s “toolkit” seem appropriate for my present needs?
- are the practitioner’s suggestions clear, simple to follow, and relatively inexpensive to implement?
I trust that you will be encouraged to ask similar questions and follow your intuition on your journey to wellness.
Therapies offered:
- Lomilomi (Hawaiian) massage - based on sacred Hawaiian healing techniques, this is the “Rolls Royce” of massages. Incorporates long, sweeping over - & under-body strokes to promote a deep sense of wholeness and relaxation. May include Hawaiian energy practices, and use of hot stones & crystals. For a special treat, Lomilomi Double is available with two practitioners working together.
- Hawaiian hot stone massage – harnesses the therapeutic properties of heat and pressure in hand-selected volcanic stones to melt away layers of tension. This is an experience to remember...
- Kahi Loa - ancient Hawaiian shamanic practices which utilise energy techniques & light touch to promote specific healing of mind, body & spirit.
- Integrative bodywork – deep, slow strokes using body butter to target muscle fascia and deeper layers of the body. Sessions are intuitively tailored to the person’s needs at the time. May include relaxation therapy, visualization, guided meditation and/or counseling.
- Relaxation massage – flowing massage aimed at the aim of soothing tensions of body, mind & soul to facilitate natural healing responses.
