Talk Story Sundays 2013 - none scheduled

Mahalo for introducing M to the Halau yesterday, for me it was like meeting an angel, here for a purpose to teach us about HIV and life and how that everyone is important no matter what that person is or has to live with. It had really touched me yesterday that most people's perception on HIV is so negative. Until Yesterday I did not know anybody with HIV and now I do and a lot happier now that I do. With all the different charities that I donate to this will be one of my main charities that I shall donate to. Also please let me know when the Positive Womens retreat is on I would like to help out with massage.

Mahalo nui to you for yesterday, I got so much out of it and really loved it.

I also spoke to one of my teachers, J today, who is the head of Massage at the Southern School of Natural Therapies. I spoke to her about how I heard this really inspirational lady speak about living with HIV etc. I talked to J about how the massage students at my school would really benefit from hearing from her and she agreed and said she would love to have her come to talk to students…... When M mentioned yesterday that some volunteer students were so meticulous about putting gloves on, it really made me cringe, and in my head I thought all students studying massage should be informed. I guess this is one way of informing.

I'm not sure if this is something M would want to do, but if it is, can you please either pass my details on to her to contact me, or I can contact her if she is happy to pass her details on.

Also, I would love to volunteer lomi in the next 'Positive Women' healing retreat :)

…………….M's story hit close to the bone. I had recently been for all my tests and was awaiting the results. I could so identify with what she said, especially the timing. There but for the grace of God, was me...and M was doing it with a lot more courage, grace and dignity than I ever would.
……. M and yourself cleared up my ignorance. M story really touched me. I'd like to put my hand up to volunteer for the massage day.
